Heritage Ride 1 - Langsett Reservoir Ride (12.85 miles 20.57 km )

This ride starts through woodland and then goes out onto the moors south of Langsett reservoir utalising trails, old pack horse routes and country lanes.
There`s a lot of hill work and some stony sections of bridleway around the south side of Langsett.
It`s a challenging, but lovely ride with stunning scenery.

Mileage and time:c11.5 miles [c9.5 miles omitting the loop at WP 5] 3 to 4 hours on a horse. 1.5 to 3hrs for cyclists. Suitable for mountain bikes and cycloross / gravel if section 4 to 5 is omitted.

Facilities: Public Toilets at Langsett Barn. [The barn is a Cruck frame Grade 11 listed >dated 1621.

Refreshments:Bank View Cafe and the Waggon and Horses Pub, both at Langsett. Ye Olde Mustard Pot at Midhopestones, which also offer B&B.
